I laughed and smiled and enjoyed each and every minute of this summa ju lie day. A much needed talk with someone who I can't go an hour without thinking of, about 2 1/2 cups of coffee, eating ice cream with my munchkin, and a few sketches for my line :) :) :) and other messiness lol ... In love with life right now. No one can take this joy away! Im totally babbling and it's ok I promise never to do it again! lol ;) Guess what??? ACALITALE is on instagram ! Dude, where have you been?

Well, hello there! It's been a while since I've felt like blogging. My mind has been all over the place. I've been A Messy Mess! But, I'm all better now. (CHEESE) Sooooo hmmm I don't even know where to start lol Ok, ummm let's start from friday lol... My little brother turned the big 21 and we treated him to a night on the town in Alantic City, New Jersey. It was raining cats & dogs but that didn't stop us from grabbing our dancing shoes and having a B-A-L-L! I haven't been out for sometime and I definitely enjoyed myself and I'm sure he did as well lol.. To his party I wore HM printed shorts,an oversized black tee,tan pumps,gold accessories,a ruby red LV clutch. Here are a few pics from my weekend overall was pretty awesome! How about you guys? Bday Post

Happy Birthday to meeeeeee!!! On March 20th I celebrated my 23rd
birthday. I had so much fun but my allergies were kicking my butt!
Bummer! I spent it by working (sucked) but my boyfriend made it better
by taking me out to dinner and I had to do a little shopping too. Come
on it’s the first day of spring! Haha Here are some pics of my day!

Funny thing is I received about 200 dollars in Starbucks giftcards.
Can you say winning??? Ah the my family knows me so well. I think I’m down
to only 50 dollars left on them. (Please no judging :p)
I wore a 21 linen blazer & black dress also tan pumps I found in a
thrift store (never worn) for 5 dollars. Cowabunga! Sorry for the lack of pictures my boyfriend left the camera home.

New Look :)

Hello You Fab Fab Readers!!

A Cali Tale has new look! :) Do u likeeeeeeee??? Are you proud of me? I did it myself. Things are changing and I was thinking about doing a whole new layout but I chickened out and just changed the template. (It was sooo much easier lol) In other news the moving process has begun and I am so happy and excited!! My “munchkin” is also excited about the big move and I was surprised because he doesn’t like changing anything. I’ve attached an “outfit” from last week playing around in ricky’s studio. I pretended I was a model lol. This sweater I have on was 3 dollars and I wear it everyday. It’s the most comfy sweater I’ve ever had and to have gotten it for only 3 dollars is definitely a win win in my book!


Everything I have on is either thrifted or vintage. (Come on you know me)Once my internet gets hooked back up I will blog more showing you guys my favorite items I’ve snagged for our apartment as well as more outfit posts. I can’t wait to share; I’ll definitely keep you posted.

New Tings Comin'

Hiiiii you guys!!! This month has started off super fantastic but, I am on work overload with ZERO help!! It's extremely stressful at times but I actually love the rush. (I'm weird I know) I have a few shoots coming up along with the men's expansion for my store. In addition to shooting I am in the process of moving into an apartment and with sammy. This is really huge deal to me! However, im sure we’ll be fine. (Crossing fingers and toes) lol jk… in other news in a month I'll be heading to VEGAS BABY for a business trip and I'm dragging my boyfriend with me lol.. Have you ever sat there and really thought about how blessed you are? I just did that a few hours ago and I can't believe how much I've grown within a year. I’m very proud of myself! I am working with a bunch of NEW models male & female and I’ve probably never been this wound up in my life about a photoshoot lol as I come closer to each one I’ll keep you wicked awesome readers up on what’s going on in the crazy world of Cali Shabazz.

Good Morning!!!

Happy New Year!! 8 days into 2012 and I'm already working so hard around the clock for CHAITEAVINTAGE and also expanding my store by adding a men's section. That's great news to the guys that follow the store!

Yesterday, ricky called me to style for a "spur of the moment" shoot with model Naray A. Who I think totally Rocked it! Naray is the sister of one of my favorite model's Nirvana whom I had the pleasure of using for my Chai Tea Vintage shoot in November. Naray was such a sweetheart and we had tons of fun shooting. The theme was A rebel I remixed it and called her a total Bad Ass!! Here are a few of our favorite shots! Tell me what you think?

SEPTEMBER FEVER!!

Hey Guys!! The past 5 days have been FANTASTIC! I've managed to come across some cool vtg finds and work with pretty amazing people. On Saturday, Ricky and I had a shoot with beautiful model AMBER NEALON. She was so pleasant and very sweet. We had an awesome time shooting. Here are a few pics from amber's shoot. Yesterday we had the pleasure of working with (THE DREAM TEAM) as I like to call them. Three beautiful and extremely talented and creative females. Fab make up artist KOKO GUERRA , fab stylist KIA DENISE and fab hair stylist DOMINIQUE NICOLE , When I tell you these girls play no games I'm soo serious. Please take some time out to check out their work. Some people ask why I chose another stylist to work on this shoot and I say why not? I love meeting new people and working with creative minds and I thought kia would be perfect for the job and I also wanted to meet the trio and watch them work. Here are a few pics from that shoot which will also be featured on my new site.

I would like to thank everyone whom I worked with this weekend! You guys are phenomenal and I'm so happy the way the way the photographs turned out. Especially my hubbs Sammy! After The Storm

G'day mate!

Here are a few photos taken Sunday after the tropical storm cleared out and our power restored. The winds were still pretty strong on Sunday but it couldn't stop the dynamic duo of Cali & Sammy lol. Whilst the rest of the city stayed in, we decided to go out and snap a few shots and enjoy the beautiful day. We had so much fun. I decided to wear a shirt I found thrifting a few weeks ago. It's a size 16 but I thought turning it into a dress would be cool. What do u guys think? I paired it with a tan linen blazer and a black belt and tan heels.

T33n Philly Mag

Can you believe summer is almost over? Are you in tears? I am!!! I love the summer but fall is my favorite season. I know, I tell u guys that already. If you remember in June my post about Ricky , I told you about a pool shoot we did but couldn't release the photos. Well today I reveal them. Some you might have already seen If you checked out T33NPHILLYMAGAZINE lately. What is T33n Philly Mag?? Teen Philly Mag is a very dope up & coming online magazine strictly for the teens in Philly! It’s created by my girl Jovonna Townsend, whom is also
the owner of Joni models Inc. We had a blast working on this shoot for the magazine as well as a few others you all will see within the next few weeks.

First, I would like you to check out a pic I call "Daydreamer". We actually didn't like how this photo turned out but once ricky edited it and changed the background from a plain white wall to a room of clouds how could u not be endlessly in love with it? Also below are a few more photos from the shoot.
