30 Days past September

September is over.

As you can recall when I wrote my first September post I was extremely excited about this month and I blabbed on about how I was going to switch over to a fashion blog.Its going well! I can honestly say September was very interesting and a bit depressing. I lost a very significant person and my life and it made me look at life from a different prospective. “Keep Going” & “Live Life” will forever be tattooed in my heart and on my brain. I am more focused than ever. I’m on a mission and I won’t stop until I reach my goal. I wanted to try something different in October so every Friday I will be posting a video post for “fly day”. My fly day posts will consist of my style, an outfit or shoesI have seen on the Internet, or one of my friend’s styles. I love Fly day it’s my favorite day of the week! I love the Anna Sui Spring 2011 collection. Its fun and Boho chic with a 70's and western inspiration. Anna Sui's brand is 20 years young and still brings us that hippie flavor and beautiful spirit year after year. If she has made it this far in time the best is yet to come. She is one of my favorite designers. I love the the mixing prints and patterns,free flowing dresses,feathers & flowers,cowboy boots and the crowns.It makes you feel like your in a country home sitting on the front porch watching the sunrise drinking lemonade and loving life. :)

Fall Shopping List

Fall has to be my favorite season, although spring is pretty exciting as well. I adore the fall because as summer transitions into fall the weather is so perfect! The colors of the leaves on the trees are so beautiful and I’m a big hot beverage kind of gal and it sucks drinking hot coffee in the summertime. SideNote: Pumpkin spice is now available at Starbucks, which I am uber excited about. :D It just gives you that warm autumn feeling through your bones.



My fall shopping list is sort of short because I have to nickel and dime it for a couple of months to save for my trip to London and Paris next year! I yearn for this leather cropped jacket at topshop. I’m going to wear it with leather gloves (because I’m a badass). I must have at least 3 pair of booties. My current obsession is long handmade clunky scarves. I want them in every color! Lots and lots of costume jewelry (preferably Betsey Johnson) for my darks this fall and winter. A really big Camel coat, I do not like winter coats but I want a wool coat this year. Don’t ask me why, I might change my mind again. Three belts, and another Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs bag. Oh My Gaga, While browsing the web I seen the cutest cardigan on forever21.com in their “twist” collection. I just have to get it. (Don’t judge me, you know you shop there.) Finally, two over sized Blazers one in black and the other in brown. You must have at least one black blazer in your wardrobe it’s a necessity just like a brush you just need it.

A GAGA FIX 'Jo Calderone'

If you do not love Gaga GO straight to jail! Do not pass go, do not collect 200.00 dollars. She is definitely the new young MJ and everyone knows how much I loooove MJ. Maybe I’m exaggerating a little but I’m telling you GAGA is the Prince of POP! lol I love her performances, her videos, and her outfits are insane! Above I’ve posted pictures of Gaga’s alter Ego “Jo Caldernone”. Just when you thought she couldn’t knock you off your feet, she does it again!!! This was a spread from Vogue Hommes Japan shot by photographer Nick Night. I’m astonished! I can not think of anything left to say but GAGA For President! Rest In Peace

Hello Readers,
Sorry for the lack of posts last week.
For starters I didn't make it to New York.
(I Know,Bummer) We arrived at the bus station just in time to see our bus pull off.
However,that was only the beginning of the saddest day, I have ever encountered thus far. I went to my mother's house because she always cheers me up and at her house I received some bad news. I saw it all over her face when I walked in the door. Her face looked like she had seen a ghost. My body had chills, I asked her what happened and she told me that a VERY very close friend of mine had passed away. I hate to be a Debbie Downer but this news was indeed the most shocking and extremely painful. I felt my body go numb and I cried so hard I gave myself a headache. I can't continue to write for his passing is still hard to cope with.

New York Madness

Honestly, I ‘m battling a love-hate relationship with New York. I love sight seeing, the people, the restaurants and the fashions. However, driving to and in New York ticks me OFF!. The traffic and well it’s mainly the traffic, lol I have no patience for traffic so I freak out most of the time and blast my bloody music and eventually I blow my car speakers. L As much as I love New York, I seriously need to consider an alternate route. So today, Bougie Boo and I are going to take the Greyhound Bus to NY. My friends think I’m going mad for traveling to NY on 9-11. I don’t see what the problem is….

(Rest in peace, to all of the people who lost their life on September 11th 2001.)


Moving along, today will indeed be another interesting day in “Caliwood” a.k.a my brain. I get off at 3pm and I still haven’t gotten my manicure and pedicure. I decided to procrastinate and wait until the day I leave because I’m so lazy lol. Grrrrr! Bougie Boo is going to KILL me! I’m always rushing and sometimes I’m “fashionably late”. But, I get there, that’s what counts right? I’m estimating our arrival in New York around tomorrowish? Lol j/k.. SideNote::(I wish I had a Vanilla Bean Frapp with caramel drizzle inside the cup and on top of the Frapp.) hmmmm yummm Calorie heaven! Yikes! Time is ticking its 2pm which means I’m almost off (dancing)…. To say that today will be pure madness would be an understatement.
